The core objectives of routine maintenance are to extend the equipment's lifespan and ensure printing stability; key points are as follows:
First, printhead maintenance: After daily use, wipe the printhead with a specialized cleaning pen or anhydrous alcohol to remove ink residue, and perform a deep cleaning weekly to prevent nozzle clogging; avoid touching the printhead surface with bare hands to prevent corrosion from skin oils.
Second, management of thermal transfer ribbons and substrates: Store them in a dry, well-ventilated area away from moisture and direct sunlight to prevent the ribbon from sticking and the substrate from deforming.
Third, equipment body maintenance: Regularly clean the exterior casing and internal compartments to remove dust and paper scraps; check that all cable connections are secure to prevent malfunctions caused by loose connections. Fourth, parameter management: Record optimal settings after use to avoid frequent, drastic adjustments; before prolonged periods of inactivity, turn off the power and remove the ribbon and any remaining substrate. Fifth, component inspection: Check the guide shafts and platen rollers weekly for wear; replace them promptly if scratches appear to avoid disrupting the transport of the ribbon and substrate.
